Vendor Guidelines
Welcome to the Brussels Street Market!
We’re creating a fun, vibrant, and thoughtfully curated destination market every Sunday.
Our goal is to bring together a dynamic mix of local farms, food vendors, artists and crafters, food trucks, and live performances to create a relaxed and engaging Sunday lunch destination. The market is further enhanced by the creative, food, and beverage businesses at 3 Brussels Street, offering a well-rounded experience where visitors can eat, drink, shop, and stay awhile.
-
We are seeking vendors who align with the spirit of the Brussels Street Market, including local farms, food vendors, artists and crafters, food trucks, and performers.
We prioritize unique, handmade goods, fresh and thoughtfully prepared foods, and engaging performances that contribute to a vibrant and well-rounded market experience.
Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. Due to the volume of applications, we are not able to provide individual feedback on selection decisions.
If accepted, vendors will receive an invoice, which must be paid in full to reserve your space for the season.
-
The Brussels Street Market operates rain or shine. In the event of dangerous weather, the Market Manager will notify vendors by email no later than Friday at 5:00 PM prior to the market.
In the event of a cancellation due to severe weather, vendor fees are non-refundable. However, we will do our best to accommodate vendors at a future market date based on availability.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled market date, please notify us as soon as possible. Vendors who no-show twice without notice will have their remaining market dates canceled. All space fees are non-refundable.
-
Vendors are responsible for their own setup and breakdown.
You must bring everything needed to display and sell your products. Electricity is not available, so please plan accordingly.
All vendors must keep their displays, products, chairs, and materials within their assigned space. Please be mindful of your footprint and respect neighboring vendors’ space.
A 10’ x 10’ space may be shared by two vendors. Each vendor must submit a separate application and be individually accepted. If you intend to share a space, reference your partner in the “items description” section of your application.
All vendors must remove any trash they generate and leave their space clean and as they found it.
Vendor placement will be assigned by the market team. We make every effort to fairly rotate vendor locations throughout the season to create a dynamic market layout and to balance conditions such as sun and shade. No specific space is guaranteed from week to week. Farmers may be placed more consistently based on space and operational needs.
Arrival instructions will be emailed to you the week prior to your scheduled market date. If you have not received them, please contact us.
Vendors are required to stay set up the entire time the market is open from 11am - 2pm. Breaking down early without market approval may constitute canceling all future dates.
-
All vendors are responsible for ensuring their setup is secure. The market area can be gusty, and safety is a priority. For tent spaces, tents must be properly weighted with a minimum of 30 lbs per leg.
For 8’ x 6’ spaces, umbrellas are permitted only if they fit entirely within the assigned footprint and are properly weighted.
All tents will be inspected prior to the start of each market, and vendors without adequate weights will not be permitted to set up.
-
The Brussels Street Market is a curated market that prioritizes handmade arts and crafts.
All arts and crafts offered for sale must be made by hand by the vendor selling the items at the market.
The following items are not permitted:
Items made from commercial craft kits
Imported or mass-produced goods
Items featuring copyrighted or trademarked images or logos (such as Disney characters, NFL teams, etc.)
-
Vendors selling food products must ensure all items are properly stored and handled according to food safety guidelines.
Perishable items must be kept outside of the temperature danger zone (41°F–135°F) using appropriate hot or cold holding methods.
Vendors are responsible for complying with all Massachusetts sales tax requirements. The Brussels Street Market is not involved in the collection or reporting of sales tax.
-
As part of your application, please submit 5 images of your products and at least 1 image of your booth setup, or provide a link to your Instagram or website, to help us curate a strong and cohesive market experience.
If submitting images, please email them to brusselsstreetmarket@gmail.com with the subject line: “Application Images – [Your Business Name]”

All vendors are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner toward customers, fellow vendors, and market staff.
Alcohol consumption or drug use by vendors is not permitted on market grounds. Any vendor suspected of alcohol or drug use may be asked to cease sales immediately and may be removed from the market and not permitted to return.
The Brussels Street Market reserves the right to enforce all guidelines and may deny participation, remove a vendor from a market day, or cancel future dates if guidelines are not followed.
10. Final Notes
Our goal is to create a market that people look forward to each week — a place that feels welcoming, high-quality, and worth spending time in.
